Unversity student in hospital after alleged stabbing
A university student is in a serious condition at the Lautoka Hospital following a stabbing incident in Ba yesterday, Police reported.
Police reported the 21-year old female was stabbed several times in Ba town yesterday by an unemployed man.
The 20-year-old suspect from Rarawai, Ba, is presently in Police custody. The alleged incident happened at around 7am.
The victim and the suspect, who are believed to be in a relationship had met near a supermarket near the Ba bus station where it is alleged that an argument broke out.
The suspect allegedly took out a knife and stabbed the victim several times.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the woman was initially taken to the Ba Hospital but was transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
Police are investigating.
