24 Teams Confirmed For Tiliva 7s

Twenty-four teams have been confirmed for the Tiliva 7s which will be played on April 27-28 at Tiliva District Primary School in Tiliva Village in the island of Kadavu.

Tiliva 7s spokesperson Lynda Tabuya said all teams will be taken care of as they have revealed the travel, accommodation and meal plans.

“We are very happy to confirm that 24 teams have confirmed their participation and will be vying for the Tiliva 7s trophy at the end of this month,” Tabuya said.

“We have been able to confirm the accommodation for the teams are at the Tiliva District School which is free of charge and they will only be required to bring their pillow and blanket.

“The school caters for four or five villages so kids usually come to board at the school during the week, so it has those facilities to accommodate players.

“We have also arranged transport to Kadavu, the boat leaves from Narayan jetty directly down to Tiliva and teams will arrive on early Thursday morning and then return on Saturday midday for $90. We have also confirmed the meal plan for the players with just $11 a day for three meals per player,” Tabuya said.

She has encouraged  supporters to come out in numbers and hopes this will be a step into getting Kadavu to re-join the Island-B zone competitions.

“We are just very happy and looking forward to this competition and we ask the public to please come out and cheer for the teams and support island rugby at its best,” she said.
