Habitat for Humanity build 14 cyclone-proof homes

Fourteen cyclone-proof homes have been built in the Northern Division by the Habitat for Humanity (HFH).
In an interview with HFH representative, Napolioni Turagakila, who is facilitating these constructions, said the home construction were done after a three-day course was carried out on its construction procedures.
“The construction of these kinds of buildings are very important and the idea is to help them build homes which could protect them during tropical cyclones,” Mr Turagakila said.
“We are currently holding the Build Back Safe (BBS) courses in the Cakaudrove province, with the latest graduation of 26 villagers at Bagata in Wailevu,” Mr Turagakila said.
“The areas we have covered includes the training and have constructed a home in include villages of Nawaido, Nasolo, Sawani, Nakorotiki and Namalata in the Bua province. And in Cakaudrove it includes, Buca, Bagasau, Kanakana, Naweni, Wailevu, Nadavaci, Natewa, Bagata and Yaroi.
