Jacks of Fiji have renewed their partnership with Nadi Soccer Association yesterday.

Jacks of Fiji chief executive officer,Bhavin Khatri gave a cheque of $45,000 to Nadi Football president Javed Ahmed.

$30,000 will be cash and $15,000 will be in kind donation. The amount given is an increasecompared to $35,000 last year.

Khatri said the sponsorship would continue to grow over the years and this was the fourth year of their partnership.

Khatri was confident that under the new leadership by Ahmed, the team would do more wonders.

He acknowledged that the company was also campaigning for the development of the soccer at the grassroots and had pledged $5000 in support of it.

“Jacks is committed to supporting soccer at grassroots level, Nadi being our home town we are very proud again that we are able to give this support again,” Khatri said.

Meanwhile, Ahmed said: “Over the last four years we have actually been very successful on the field and we have won Fiji Fact three times, Pacific Cup four times, National League was bit successful and also last year we won the Champion versus Champion title for the first time.”

Ahmed said this year, apart from the success on field they were looking into commercial venture by selling Nadi Football branded gears.

“We would like to get our commercials going we have been trying to get the brand launching for Nadi football to be done over the past few years,” Ahmed said.

“This year we have got a plan that will work we are looking at a major brand launch on April 26.”

Jack’s of Fiji have come up with some nice designs for jerseys and other gears that fans can buy.

Moreover  he said: “We are focused on our youth development we have an academy which we started in 2013 we had a bit of a break because of some issues but this year we are trying to bring up a Junior League and try to bring in kids from age five .”

We are putting a lot of focus on our youth teams, Ahmed added.

Currently Nadi Football has launched the free pass initiative at the selling price of $50 which will be a season pass.

The subscription for this has reached 200-300 but the team targets 1000.
