Oneata cricket side upset Easter competition defending champions Suva Warriors by 10 runs at Albert Park yesterday.

The island based side batted first and managed 133 runs while the capital city side then batted and only secured 123 runs.

This is Oneata’s second win in the Easter competition following their first win to Ono-i-Lau in the first day after 116 runs and Ono only managed 113 runs.

Team manager AisakeVakaloloma said their main aim was to improve their performance level and finish on a good spot during the Easter competition this year.

“The players played well in these first two days we came here for one aim and that is to play and win.

“We just kept to our game plan and defeated the champions Suva Warriors,” Vakaloloma said.

Oneata is laced with two national reps CakacakaTikoisuva and JosaiaBaleicikobia. In other day two results Komo defeated Kabara by six wickets, Ono-I-Lau defeated Nasinu by eight wickets, Moce defeated Namuka-I-Lau by 92 runs and Lakeba defeated Suva Crusaders by five runs.
