Former district reps will bolster Solovi Master in the Then India Valibar (TIV) Sangam Football Veteran Championship which will be played at Subrail Park in Labasa this weekend.

Arjun Pillay and Shiu Sami (both former Ba reps), Rajesh Krishna, and Kesho Gounder will play alongside for the first time as the side was established last year.

“Solovi Master TIV was formed last year and we won the trophy and this here travel to Labasa hoping to return with it,” he said.

“This is a good tournament for us and just like previous years we hope to meet up with the rest of the brotherhood.”

Salovi Masters is in Pool One alongside three time champions Nadi Masters, NZ Masters, and Nadroga Masters.

Pool 2 has Labasa Masters, Rifle Range Masters and Lautoka Masters.

The TIV Football Championship is also part of the annual Then India Sanmarga Ikya Sangam (TISI) Convention.

Nadi will be defending the Super Premier division, and prize is at stake in the Senior and Premier grades.

TIV Sangam secretary Mun Chettey confirmed the four days fiesta will feature overseas team adding the flavor of competition.
