Boost For Western Division

F iji Public Service Credit Union (FPSCU) and Skaffworks Building Solutions Fiji Ltd opened their third branch yesterday in Lautoka.
It was opened by Commissioner Western Manasa Tagicakibau, who praised the initiative Skaffworks, owned by the Credit Union.
Mr Tagicakibau said: “The West is progressing quite swiftly with new structures and buildings, new businesses even our roads are getting bigger and better to accommodate the traffic, something we have never had in the past.
“The Western economy is booming and I am humble to be here while this is happening.
“To the management and board of directors of FPSCU and Skaffworks Building Solutions Ltd, I thank you for taking the initiative to open a new branch in the West.
“We have people from all walks of life here in the West looking to build their dream houses, to start their careers and to build future for their families.”
Mr Tagicakibau said Skaffworks new slogan “Building the Future, Restoring the Past”, would help build the future of many people in the Western Division who are looking for a fresh start.
Skaffworks Building Solutions Fiji Ltd managing director Jone Koroi said: “Skaffworks Building Solutions Fiji Ltd as a company sees Western Division as potential for growth.
“There is a lot of construction works happening in the Western Division and we see that there are opportunities for us whereby we can hire out our equipment and we can also participate in the construction projects that are available in the Western Division.
“That why we have decided to open this office in the Western Division and at the same time we have moved closer to our members of FPSCU who are shareholders of the company,” he said.
Mr Koroi is urging people from the Western Division to take advantage of their services.
FPSCU was established in 1972 and is now the largest credit union in Fiji with more than 6000 active members and a total asset of $22 million.
