Decrying merit

Some of the failed media types really cannot fathom the role merit plays in Fiji’s career growth. The same types are best known for being someone’s child and someone’s spouse. The same types are decrying merit-based appointment in the civil service. Shame, indeed.

Justice isn’t like that

So a local political commentator had hoped the results of the last polls would be different so that criminal proceedings against would come to an end. That is not how the judiciary works, people!

This is not new

A word of caution to school managements around the country- if you are inviting a Minister or an assistant Minister to officiate at an event, please get their names correct on the welcome banner. One such blooper was noted this week.
