Suva Crusaders, Oneata, Moce and Brisbane Thunder have confirmed their semi-final spots for the 2017 Easter Tournament at Albert Park, Suva, tomorrow.

Suva Crusaders meet Oneata on ground one while Moce face visitors Brisbane Thunder on ground two at 9am.

Cricket Fiji High Performance Unit manager Jo Rika said, they are expecting an exciting semi-final matches as the island teams would bring in a different atmosphere as far as spectators is concern.

“This will be a very tough semi-final matches there will be a lot of support coming from the two island teams Moce and Oneata which will add onto a different atmosphere as there will be a lot of island supporters here come Monday,” he said.

Rika also commended the performance of the visiting Brisbane Thunder in the competition and their semi-final clash against Moce would be the one to watch.

“The Brisbane Thunder side have come in with a lot of experience and hopefully with their skills and techniques, hopefully our local players can learn from. It was evident in their quarterfinal match against Nasinu where they chased them down.

“For Moce obviously they will come in with a lot of supporters which will be to their advantage and will make the game more exciting,” Rika said.

In yesterday’s quarterfinal results Suva Crusaders defeated Lakeba by seven runs, Oneata beat Ono-i-Lau by 20 runs, Brisbane Thunder had a close win over Nasinu by three runs and in the final quarter final clash Moce beat Nadi by 169 runs.
