Last night (April 16th, 2017), Vodafone Fijian 7s utility back Waisea Nacuqu was still leading the try scoring list of the Singapore Sevens.
Nacuqu, who was dubbed by head coach Gareth Baber as the team’s ‘X Factor’, was on top with nine tries in the Singapore Sevens but was closely followed by Mark Robertson of Scotland, Blitzboks’ Siviwe Soyizwapi, Stephen Tomasin and Perry Baker of USA.
However, so far Nacuqu is the tournament’s most points scorer with 47 points.
The Votua lad from Ba took on the playmaker’s role this weekend after Vatemo Ravouvou had to return home because of an injury.
The Vodafone Fijians will now return home to prepare for the Paris and London 7s next month.
