Ex-minister Dr Sharma Tipped to join NFP

A former health minister, Dr Neil Sharma, is likely to join the National Federation Party.
When contacted yesterday, Dr Sharma, who now runs a private practice in Suva, said he was content with looking after his patients, for now.
It is believed that Dr Sharma has also had discussions with SODELPA and a new political movement featuring Adi Sivia Qoro.
Former FijiFirst Infrastructure Minister Pio Tikoduadua has confirmed his intention to contest the 2018 general elections under the NFP banner.
During a press conference Mr Tikoduadua said he had resigned after the Prime Mininister Voreqe Bainimarama did not heed his advice when a Government MP voted in favour of an Opposition motion.
While he did not name the MP, it was Dr Sharma who had voted.
He had resigned from Government soon after and set up his private practice. His decision to join NFP would come following Mr Tikoduadua opting to join NFP.
