A 60-year-old man pleaded not guilty at the High Court in Suva yesterday to three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The matter was called before Judge Justice Vincent Perera.
The accused is alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted his eight-year-old niece on February 11, at Navua.
State lawyer Kimberly Semisi sought 21 days to file proposed agreed facts.
She further informed the court that there were no admissions in the caution interview. However, they would be calling four witnesses for the trial.
Defence lawyer Ritesh Singh informed the court that they would also be calling four witnesses.
