Lautoka Farmers’ Carnival Committee Looking For Public Support

Organisers of the Lautoka Farmers’ Carnival are seeking public support ahead of their event on June 2.
Director Udit Narayan said this was vital for them because it would turn up the tempo of the carnival.
He said they were trying to provide the best for the public.
“The carnival proper will start from June 2nd to 11th and so far the preparation is going very well. We have six contestants and so far so good,” Mr Narayan said.
“It is the only carnival that we have everything, like all our programmes are free and all we need is the people of Lautoka to come and support us. It is all for the worthy cause and all funds raised will go to the educational needs of the poor and needy children. It has been our motive since 2001 and we are still continuing with that.”
He said the committee was still working on their programme which would be finalised by mid May.
“There will be many programmes.”
