Ratu Filise Prepares For Kadavu

Coastline Ratu Filise 7s rugby team is fully aware of the challenge the team would face not only on the field but off the field as they depart for Kadavu last night for the two days Tiliva 7s tournament.
The Nadroga based side captain Vio Batibasaga told SUNsports yesterday their biggest challenge would battling with their Tauvu’s (traditional arch-rivals) off the field.
“This is the first time for our team to travel to Kadavu, we have travelled to places like Ovalau and Bua but now we are excited to go to Kadavu.
“Right now our main worry is battling with our Tauvu’s off the field, we have heard news that they have been preparing since last week especially getting the kava ready but I know we will be able to counter them,” Batibasaga said.
Batibasaga also stated they lifted their preparation level following the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s last month where the side won the Plate Final defeating Silver Water 38-0.
“We have learnt from our weaknesses from last month and our focus now is to win the cup in Kadavu,” Batibasaga added.
The winner of the two days tournament walks away with $5000.
