Application Makes Bill Payment, Access Easier

Telecom Fiji Ltd and Connect customers now do not have to wait until the end of the month to access their bills nor do they need to call the company’s call center for information on their data consumption.

The 20-year-old company, with more than 100,000 data and voice customers, had launched their fifth free app — TFL SelfCare —yesterday.

TFL chief executive officer Mothilal De Silva said: “The TFL SelfCare app places the center of protocol where it should belong, in the hands of the customer. At TFL, we are committed to providing customers with innovative solutions that will help compliment their lifestyle and make them their decision makers.

“We are committed to driving customer service excellence, where excellence is not defined by the providers but by the customers themselves.

“This application gives our customers the flexibility to manage their accounts at their convenience.”

The app that took the company six months to build, was made available on Google Play Store on Tuesday.

“This initiative was developed by our internal engineers, showing our commitment to driving customer services excellence, where customer service excellence is not defined by our sales but defined by our customers,” said TFL general manager of Information Technology,  Autiko Domonakibau.

Mr Domonakibau said customers could track their accounts, download their bills and track the progress of their service online.

Customers can also monitor the progress of a fault that has been reported instead of calling the company’s customer care.

“The whole idea of the app is to make the customer’s life easier by getting everything online on their fingertips.

“Currently it is available for all smartphones using android systems. That means most of our customers can download the app from Google Store.

“The next stage of development will allow customers with personal computers to download and access the app,” said Mr Domonakibau.

TFL had more than 20,000 voice customers and 80,000 data customers.

About the app:

The app allows customers to manage their internet and voice accounts;

It is free of charge;

After downloading the app, customers can register then enter their account details for the latest bills; and

The app allows customers to manage their accounts, receive notifications, view current promotions, customer care locations, hotspot locations, roadshow locations on Google Maps and lodge complaints, enquiries, download bills and track their fault status.
