BSP Staff, Customer In Labasa Deposit With Blood Bank

Bank South Pacific is not just about making profit but also giving back to its customers and communities at large, says Labasa branch manager Eka Seduadua.
She said this month the bank was observing ‘community value’. To put this into action the BSP Labasa branch stepped forward to organise its annual blood drive event yesterday.
“The Labasa Hospital blood bank urgently needed blood and hence we thought to support them,” Ms Seduadua said.
“We assisted them by creating blood drive awareness, giving refreshments to donors and arranging the venue to have the blood drive. Not only that, our staff sacrificed their family time by coming forth to donate blood.
“We care about our customers and we are always delighted to reach out to people and communities with help. I have been told that by 11am about 10 people including our BSP customers donated blood and we expect more to come.”
BSP Life member Alan Tuinasoni, 51, of Vunivau, Labasa was among the first 10 people to donate blood.
“I would like to thank BSP for creating awareness so that blood donors like me can participate to save lives,” Mr Tuinasoni said.
“The injection on the hand can be painful but the blood that comes out from me will surely bring relief to those who are on a hospital bed.”
