Wardens Gold Still No.1

The Sailosi Naiteqe Jnr coached- Wardens Gold side have successfully retained the FWCC Martintar Sevens tournament at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday.
Wardens Gold beat Pio Tuwai led-Tokatoka Westfield Dragons 22-12 in the Cup final.
Warden’s tries were scored by Sevuloni Tawake, Simione Cele, Batinisavu Uluiyata and Soloadrau Radinirova as they walked away with the $5000 prize money.
The Dragons pocketed $2000 for reaching the final.
Wardens coach Naiteqe said from the start they were confident of retaining the title.
“I thank the boys for the hard work,” he said.
“We missed out on the Marist Sevens, so we planned to defend the Martintar title.”
Tuwai said they would bounce back in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka Sevens tournament set for next month.
“It was unfortunate that we had to fall short in the final.
“The Wardens played well but we will bounce back from this defeat.”
Dragons Inia Rokomatu scored seven tries in the tournament and scooped the Top Try Scorer award.

Women final: Spartans 24-10 Titans.
