Blues To Announce Fiji FACT Sponsor

The Lautoka Football Association is expected to make a major announcement this week on the securing of an overseas sponsor for the Vodafone Fiji FACT 2017 title bid.
LFA president Abdul Kadar made the announcement on Sunday night during the association’s Pillay’s Garments CvC win celebration. The official announcement is expected to be done today and it is believed to be a lucrative sponsorship.
Meanwhile, the General Machinery Lautoka players were rewarded for the CvC win with cash handouts during the celebration.
For their win, Lautoka received $5000 and Kadar said the association also gave the same amount.
The $10,000 was shared amongst the players who also received trophies.
“The Baby Blues is coming of age. I know that the Lautoka fans were disappointed last year when the team could not bring the IDC trophy home and we let the league title slip away from our fingers but CvC has restored the faith of the fans once again,” Kadar said.
“In fact this season has started off on a good note for Lautoka FC as the team managed to bag the CvC and the boys have been doing well in the league matches as the team has remained unbeaten after four matches.”
Lautoka have managed three national league wins so far and these were in 1984, 1988 and 2009.
Kadar made special mention of sponsors General Machinery Ltd adding that LFA wanted to assure them and all other sponsors that they would do their best to enhance the sponsors’ name.
