The organisers of the Bula Interhash 2018 will continue to increase the national awareness of the event.

The first billboard is scheduled to be erected along Denarau, in Nadi in coming weeks. Event chairperson Dr Ram Raju said this during the Nadi Hash Harriers Walk at the Tui Kabu’s residence on
Fantasy Island last recently. “We are putting billboards on Denarau and start going public since we are just a year away,” he said.

“Later then we will go outside Nadi and will have big billboards, and by June there will be several billboards up. We’ll have this kind of business in there with the sponsors at the bottom or on the side whatever (for design).

“The Bula Interhash 2018 also marks the 21st Anniversary of the International Interhash. The four day fiesta will be hosted in Nadi from May 24 – 27, in 2018.

Sponsors

Dr Raju also revealed some of the event sponsors who also will continue package for the international community of Hash Harriers who will flock for the event next year. “We have spoken to some of the sponsors to get the sponsorship deal package worked out. At this stage we are proud to say that the main sponsors so far are Tourism Fiji, Fiji Airways, and Paradise Beverages to be part of the Bula Interhash 2018 event,” he said.
Registered Online

More than 1500 harriers have registered online for the event, said Dr Raju.

“We expect the number to be over 2000. A lot of overseas hashers want to be in Fiji with over 4000 to be part of the event in Nadi.”

Normally, Dr Raju and his committee on a weekly basis send out a hash report to keep their members on track with the development taking place.

“The interest is growing and we see new members enjoying the run and the walks and the fellowship,” Dr Raju said.

“Every week we send out a hash report to all the members. The total membership is at 60 for the Nadi Hash Harriers but at any time of Monday there is about 20.”
