PM’s Relief Fund Gets $46K Boost

A total of $46,097.05 was donated towards the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund yesterday.
Foneology, Suva Retailors Association and Fulton Hogan Hiways gave their contribution during the distribution of the 2016 Hibiscus Festival Charity Chest at Albert Park in Suva.
Fulton Hogan Hiways surfacing manager Greg Clark said: “We are a community based company and we are well engaged with our community to assist them.
“So we thought to give something back to the community which could help thousands of families in Fiji affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
“It makes us and the whole company proud that we could do something for them and we are impressed that we are able to do that much for our community members.”
Suva Retailors Association vice president Jitesh Patel said the donation was from the 2016 Suva on Sale.
“We had committed to PM’s Relief Fund that we will donate funds from the sale,” Mr Patel said.
“There were more than 100 retailors participating in the Sale and the amount donated was from the contributions of all the retailors.
“Last year’s Suva On Sale was for the PM’s Relief Fund and we feel proud to being a part of it as we give back to our customers and community members.
“We had given some funds last year but today is our major contribution for our community.”
