A total of 68 teams will take part in the 30th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s at Prince Charles Park, Nadi next week.

This includes eight Under- 19 and 8 oldies teams.

Paradise Beverage sponsored the tournament for  $35,000.

Paradise Beverages marketing manager Joe Rodan said they’ve grown with the tournament over the years and hopes to continue supporting and making it better in future.

“This is not only a sponsorship but a partnership and as we would like to make a difference,” Rodan said.

“We want to see the people of Nawaka progress and we are proud to be part of this and sponsoring it for the last 30 years.”

Tournament organiser Jioji Kinisi said the competition continues to build over the years and is expected to be tough next week.

“We have gone all out in this year’s launch, it is a milestone for us especially the people of Nawaka,so we are very much excited,” Kinisi said.

“It is really a celebration for us, the sponsors touches the very fabrics of our community, churches and to our very home.  It’s is so important for us and we forward to it every year.”

Kinisi said the committee had to close the registration two weeks prior because of the number f teams still wanting to join.
