The much-awaited 8th edition to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are now available at Vodafone Fiji outlets.

This after it was launched last night by partners, Samsung and Vodafone Fiji at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

The crowd wowed in amazement as the sheets were pulled to uncover the top-notch edgy smartphone.

Head of Mobile Product for Samsung in the Pacific Islands and New Zealand, Todd Selwyn said: “This device is setting records for Samsung sales around the globe, and we are expecting Fijians to have a similar positive response to the launch.

“We truly believe this is the best phone available in the world today, and we’re really excited to be able to bring this kind of innovative technology to market in Fiji.

“We know Fijians love the Samsung Galaxy brand, and the new Galaxy S8 and S8+ will continue this strong tradition for us.

“We work hard to ensure our devices are ‘built for the Pacific’ with localised software and engineering support for the Fiji market.

Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said more than 100 people had pre-ordered the devices and around 80 had received their phones yesterday.

“The new S8 and S8+ has a better battery life compared to the previous models. I had the privilege of testing out one of the devices and the battery even on radar lasts for more than three days,” Mr Prasad said.
