The stage is set for today’s much anticipated TEDx Suva event bringing together people with ideas from various backgrounds.

TEDx Suva spokesperson Mere Nailatikau said the seven speakers that will be speaking today come from very diverse backgrounds and age groups.

“We are looking forward to sharing their ideas as the whole idea of the TEDx is about ideas worth sharing,” she said.

Last year’s speaker Sachiko Soro said she was very fortunate to be part of the event which she saidwas a profound moment for her.

“As a small island nation we’re always looking outside for information and external influence not realising we have a wealth of knowledge and experience right here in Fiji,” said Ms Soro.

She said TEDx was a great opportunity to engage with different sections of society.

This year’s theme is ‘An Ocean of Ideas’.

It starts at 2:30pm at the University of the South Pacific AusAid Lecture Theatre.
