The Wesley City Mission Church celebrated its 5oth Anniversary of their church building yesterday.

Church Chief Steward Apenisa Katonivualiku said the celebration coincided as well with the opening of their newly completed multi-purpose hall complex.

Mr Katonivualiku said the recently completed multi-purpose hall came about due to the demand for teaching rooms for  Sunday school.

The church has about 600-700 members and is located at the corner of Butt Street and Gordon Street in central Suva.

The theme of the celebration was ‘The Kingdom of Christ-Reflect, Celebrate and Inspire.’ The celebration will end with a thanksgiving service today.  The complex cost $1.5 million to construct.
