Their video for the theme song for this year’s Coke Games has gone viral with over 45,000 views since last month.

Sauca N Seda is the new band in town and is currently making waves in the local music scene with its original songs and performance since forming earlier this year.

The three members of the band are Alesi Naituivau, Eta Gonerogo, and George Saumaiwai who was the former member of Black Rose.

Singer Alesi and Eta have been doing music for the past 20 years and the band is based in Delainavesi in Suva.

“We mostly write our own songs and we will be launching our first album on the 26th of this month,” Alesi said.

The album will feature 12 I-taukei songs and are all vude songs. The recording of their album was done with Exotic Music Fiji as well as Original Sound Productions.

The name Sauca N Seda was inspired from where the three band members are originally from, Alesi is from Kadavu, George is from Naitasiri and Eta is from Gau.

The band usually performs around schools and upon invitation from the general public during weddings and birthdays as well.

“We also do cover songs of Laisa Vulakoro, Georgina Ledua, and Julia Zahara amongst others,” she added.

The band now performs alongside another local band, Civa Boys.

Tickets for the launch of their first album can be purchased at the Soqosoqo Vakamarama office in Nabua.

Mark the date music lovers out there to catch the hottest band in town on May 26th (Friday) at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
