Knowledge Bullet Proof Against Problems: Koroilavesau
Fisheries Minister Semi Koroilavesau said the growth and development of knowledge not only contributed to productivity but introduced a higher standard of living.
“It at the same time acts as a bullet proof for the society against social ills, environmental issues and national conflicts,” Mr Koroilavesau said.
Mr Koroilavesau was speaking on Saturday at the opening of the Knowledge Based Development Conference at the University of Fiji in Lautoka.
Mr Koroilavesau said the Knowledge Based Development Conference of University of Fiji gave stakeholders an opportunity to bring their knowledge, research and ideas to the forefront and deliberate upon it.
“The Bainimarama Government under its manifesto has singled out a knowledge based society as the key priority area of the Government,” he said.
