Samsung, Digicel Launch At Port Denarau

Digicel Fiji customers can now buy the latest Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 plus from its 15 branches.
These devices were launched at Port Denarau, Nadi, with the partnership of Digicel and Samsung.
Digicel Fiji CEO Darren McLean said: “It’s an amazing product which is very popular and is already creating a huge amount of interest around the world, as we would have seen already.
“This is something important to us and Samsung helping to launch the Samsung S8 device here in Fiji.
“We are very happy with the progress in Fiji, and we are delighted to be in partnership.
“The launch of this device and the turn out time has been spectacular.
“I think it is an exciting product and it’s going to be a very attractive proposition for the company. It’s good to see all our customers here.”
Mr McLean acknowledged the Samsung team for their partnership in launching the product.
Samsung Pacific Key Account Manager Sam Hulton said the two devices were introduced in the market last week and had been the most successful products so far.
He added the sales had been four times higher than that of Samsung Galaxy 7 when it was first introduced.
“So one of the features which makes S8 so special, is a basel free design of the infinite display giving seamless and massive display,” Mr McLean said.
The phone also has 12 mega pixel rear camera and eight mega pixel secondary camera for great photos and also making sure that the “selfies” are crystal clear, he said.
“In terms of security we are offering a very simple security solution which is an iris scanner built in with patterns of your eyes.
“We have attained all the features that Kiwis and Fijians know and love.”
Digicel Fiji will be celebrating their ninth year anniversary soon.
