Silverwater Barbarians are set to make their debut in the 30th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s today at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

Coach James Hamagushi said the tournament will create a great opportunity for the players to get some exposure.

“Our preparations are on track and we are fielding in 25 five young talented players who are eager to showcase their skills in the tournament.

“This is our first time to participate in the Nawaka 7s and we are fortunate to have some experienced players associated with the team like William Ryder and Rupeni Caucau. Their presence in the side will definitely boost the morale of younger players,” Hamagushi said.

“As newcomers we are hoping to keep improving our performance and also move up the team’s standings and make a mark in the tournament as well.

The tournament kick starts at 8am today and the finals is set for Saturday.
