FNU Looking To Develop Master Of Public Administration

The Fiji National University is looking to develop a Master of Public Administration programme.

This is following on from its new programme the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) which has now seen the second lot of students graduate.

EMBA director, Kishore Kumar, who helped introduce the EMBA programme in 2014, said this during the graduation of the second lot of students at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on Tuesday.

“This programme is particularly for those who are in the public sector jobs,” Mr Kumar said.

“It covers a whole range of knowledge required in the public sector management and administration from the basics of public service delivery to policy development and implementation.”

Meanwhile, nine students received their certificates this week. Last December, 17 pioneering students graduated.

Mr Kishore said it was a proud moment for the college to see students who hold key positions in the workforce graduate.

“It is quite satisfying to see that our students who are leaders at their respective organisations qualify with Masters,” he said.

“The students have learnt a lot and I’m sure they are already applying the knowledge they have gained in their respective fields of work.

“I’m positive the employers will see the tremendous benefit these EMBA grandaunts will make in their respective organisations,” Dr Kishore said.
