A 24-year-old driver was admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva after an early morning accident yesterday near Semo Village in Nadroga.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the courier truck driver was making his way back to Suva from Nadi when the accident happened.

“Accident occurred this morning at Semo Village, Queens Road whereby the driver who is a 24-year-old of Navua allegedly fell off to sleep and hit a FEA Post,” Ms Naisoro said.

Ms Naisoro said the victim was travelling alone in the above vehicle heading to Suva in the early morning hours.

The victim was conveyed to Sigatoka Hospital and later transferred to CWM Hospital.

Police investigations on the accident continue.
