Navua’s Vashist Muni College won the European Union Amazing Race at the University of the South Pacific on Friday.

The Delegation European Union (EU) for the Pacific organised the competition at the Laucala Campus which fielded a total of seven high schools with each school having five members with age range from 12 to 15 years.

The teams explored the USP campus in a quest of 12 pit-stops. At each pit-stop they were asked questions about Fiji and the EU to gain a hint for finding the next pit-stop.

The second prize went to Jai Narayan College, while International Suva School finished the race in third place.

Trophies, certificates and prizes were awarded to the teams that finish first, second and third, while the schools that didn’t make the top three received certificates and EU promotional items.

Schools that participated in the EU Amazing Race 2017 were: Vashist Muni College, Jai Narayan College, International School Suva, Suva Muslim College, Marist Brothers High School, Nakasi High School and Kalabu Secondary School.

The event is a week-long celebration to coincide with Europe Day celebrated on May 9 worldwide.
