Fiji Auckland Girls Here To Win

Players in the Fiji Auckland team are aiming to do their best on the court in the Digicel Punjas International Secondary Schools Netball Challenge that starts today at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
Coach Marsia Hardcastle said they need to get everything right from day one in order to put out a good performance.
“We want to do things well on the court, the girls have been training together for a while now and I want to see that everything they have been preparing for is showcased on the court,” Hardcastle said.
“I’m new to the scene so I have not seen the capabilities of these other teams from Australia, South Africa and Fiji.
“For some of the girls, this is their first time taking part in a tournament outside the country and it is a big experience for them.
“But I feel if they do well on court and stick to what they know and what is expected of them the rest will take its place.”
Hardcastle said all the girls on the team have some sort of link to Fiji and it is a special moment for them to be playing in the country.
“Some of them have parents or grandparents who are from Fiji and I think it is quite exciting for the girls to be in the country where their family comes from and playing netball is a real special moment for them.
“We’ve got girls who have never been to Fiji before and they are really excited to be here.
“So for them to come here and play in their country has made them excited.”
