Keep Improving Yourself: Vocea

A total of 194 individuals from the three districts of Tawake along Udu Point, Saqani and Vaturova graduated from 14 different courses
Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea encouraged graduates to keep improving themselves after graduating from 14 courses provided by the Fiji National University Sustainable Livelihood Training Programme.
“I would like to urge, let this not be the end your education journey, keep on aspiring to be better in your respective fields,” Mr Vocea said.
Mr Vocea was speaking as the chief guest at the training graduation at Navetau Village in Saqani on Friday of 194 graduates from the 14 courses.
Most of the participants who took part were from the villages of the three districts of Tawake along Udu Point, Saqani and Vaturova.
“I greatly applaud your effort and interest to be a part of this training programme which is bound to make your lives a little better,” Mr Vocea said.
“Now it has been made accessible to you so that each and every one of you are skilled in the areas that you specify in or have interest in, whether its carpentry, cookery, sewing, or whatever it is.”
Meanwhile, he said there was a continued shortage of carpenters and tradespersons in the country.
“And that is why we continue to urge you, if you have a knack for carpentry, get some qualification because this could one day be your ticket to work in foreign countries,” he said.
