APNR Partners Wailevu Youngsters FC recorded their first win in the A. Hussain and Company Limited’s Labasa Football Association’s local league competition at Subrail Park, Labasa on Sunday. They edged out Quality Motor Parts Spares Babasiga Lionz FC 5-4 in a thriller.

Wailevu Youngsters manager Saheed Dean said this was their first win in the league.

“Earlier we drew with Batinikama 0-0 before we went down to Black Virus,” Dean said.

“I thank all our players including district reps Taniela Waqa, Nickel Chand and Leone Damudamu for their dedication and commitment.

“We’re all happy with the result and dedicate the win to all mothers. We want to gear up for the Vanua Levu Muslim Inter-District Championship.

“Most of our players are secondary school students and we are confident of fielding a good team.”
