Bolavutia Sure Of Realising Supermodel Dream

Sixteen-year-old Cakaudrove lass Esther Bolavutia is positive that she will live her dream in becoming a world renowned supermodel someday.
And as the youngest contender for the Miss World Fiji, Esther said she was already on her way there.
“I had always dreamt of becoming a supermodel one day and I am blessed and thankful that I have been chosen for this competition which is a wonderful stepping stone for me,” she said.
Esther said it all started from the HIV/AIDS campaign in 2015 where she modelled in front of a crowd for the first time.
“And for the first time in my life I felt that this was my calling. My family members always teased me saying I was a model, I would often retort shyly saying that I wasn’t. But deep down in my gut, I continue to believe and pray that I would one day become a supermodel,” she said.
Her best friend Katrina Tinai said; “Esther was my friend from primary school till now and she has always loved to play dress up and even wear heels during school maftis.”
Mother Paulina Talebula said she was shocked that her eldest was chosen as one of the finalists for the Miss World Fiji.
“She has made us so proud and I am happy that she is chasing after her dream,” Ms Talebula said.
Ms Bolavutia thanked the support from her Labasa family and relatives in Suva for their support and encouragement.
Meanwhile, she paid her peers in school a visit dressed elegantly in high heels and a long summer dress.
“I am proud to be part of Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa College and I would not forget this school,” she said.
