Pacific Energy Limited yesterday provided $5000 to the Fijian National Schools Swimming Association (FNSSA).

Business manager lubricants Tapuaki Finauga said they were grateful to help.

“We are grateful and excited to partner with FNSSA.

“This is nothing new and the sponsorship deal has been happening over the years,” Finauga said.

“We are hopeful that this sponsorship will not only contribute to the development of swimming but to advocate on saving lives from drowning especially young children.”

FNSSA president Patrick Bower appreciated Pacific Energy for their support.

“We would like to thank Pacific Energy for supporting one of the biggest swimming events in the country,”Bower said.

“There will be 44 schools participating, 27 primary and 17 secondary schools.

“The most encouraging part of this tournament is that there are more schools interested to get into swimming.

“The event creates a lot of excitement and we are now anticipating a good outing next Friday and Saturday”
