14-year- old Amiteshna Ashal is a name that you’ll be hearing from now on around the local music scene.

The Votualevu College student is a passionate songwriter as well and her favorite artists include Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, and Selena Gomez amongst others.

Her first song that she wrote called “My Life Story” was released last week and is now playing in the local radio station.

“The song was inspired on how important the love of parents is and their role in our lives so not many people out there have that type of love or guardians in their lives, it’s a song of encouragement,” Amiteshna said.

She said her parents had been supportive in her passion to pursue music.

Her older sister, Adarshika Ashal is a painter.

Apart from doing music she also wants to pursue a career in veterinary because of her love for animals.  Her hobbies include listening to music and hanging out with friends.

Her first song My Life Story was produced and recorded with Procera Music Fiji, Suva and expect more hit singles from this teenage sensation coming your way soon.
