Rewa remain unbeaten in the Vanua Championship Challenge after beating Bua 15-6 at Nawaca Village, Bua yesterday.

And it was former national sevens rep Alivereti Veitokani who kicked the five penalties.

Veitokani drew first blood in the  20th minute and extended the lead minutes later  for Rewa to lead 6-0.

Bua kicked their first penalty before halftime.

Halftime: Rewa 6 – 3 Bua.

Veitokani kicked his third penalty in the 45th minute followed by another one before Bua responded with one, 12-6.

Veitokani sealed the win in the final minutes of the game.

Comments: Rewa coach Ro Alifereti Doviverata said; “We take the win. We faced a really good opposition from Bua, they did not make it easy for us. But we have achieved our goal which was to win the game.”

The Bua team refused to comment.
