Northland rugby manager Maciu Koroi said their captain Sireli Ledua is not seriously injured after he was stretchered off the field against Nadroga on Saturday.

“I’ve been informed that he is okay,” Koroi said.

When contacted on Saturday night, Northland coach Timoci Tinaviti said he was relieved to see Ledua joining them after the game.

“He had a concussion but later came from the hospital to join us at Gatward Park after the match,” he said.

Match Commissioner Viliame Kanatabua said all procedures were followed as a Northland official accompanied the medics team when they took Ledua to hospital in a van.

The vehicle was used as an ambulance to transport injured players to hospital.
