President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote yesterday was paid courtesy calls by the Cuban and Denmark ambassadors.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Fiji Carlos Manuel Rojas Lago presented his credentials to the President.

Ambassador Lago presented his credentials at the State House after inspecting a 25-member guard of honour by officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Ambassador Lago has served as senior government official at the Foreign Affairs office in Cuba and has worked in various Cuban foreign missions abroad.

The Ambassador of Denmark to Fiji Tom Norring also presented his credentials.

Ambassador Norring presented his credentials at the State House after inspecting a 25-member guard of honour by officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

He has held various senior positions in Denmark’s foreign office and has worked in various Danish foreign missions around the world including USA, Hungary, New Zealand and Australia.
