The Vodafone Fiji football team will play Estonia and Indonesia in international friendly matches later this year. This was confirmed by the Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel during the 2017 Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori last Saturday.

“There is good news for Fiji FA and the football fans in general as Fiji will play Estonia in Fiji on November 19,” Patel told the fans.

“Estonia is a team from Europe and it has been finalised and they have responded positively to play and they’re willing to come here and play.” He said the national team would also play Indonesia and this was something they would continue to do.

“We will try to get more international friendly matches.” Patel said the association was heading in the right direction.

Vodafone Fiji he said had been sponsoring the Fiji FACT the tournament since 2009 and the tournament had been growing.

“Fiji FA will continue to work with the sponsors and give the fans what they deserve in terms of the skills the players are showing and the facilities.” The match will be played at Churchill Park in Lautoka while Fiji will travel to Indonesia in August.

Meanwhile, Fiji will play Solomon Islands today at the ANZ Stadium in Suva at 7pm and Sunday at 3pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
