The Solomon Islands football coach Felipe Vega Arawgo will field young players in tonight’s clash against the Vodafone Fijiian football team at 7pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

“The team have been working well, we have been training together for the past few weeks and we anticipate an exciting match against the Fijians.

“I will try out young players most of whom are under 25 years. They are always desperate hungry to play for their country,” Arawgo said.

New Zealand-based duo Micah Lealafa who plays for Auckland City FC and Benjamin Totori(Three Kings United FC ) would boost the side today.

“Our New Zealand based players have just joined the team on Tuesday and we only have one training session with them. But it’s not a concern for us as they will be playing to their level best.

“This is just a friendly match and I want to see players from both the teams play and enjoy football and nobody gets injured,” he added.

Former Rewa football rep James Naka is back in the country and looks good to don his national jumper tonight.

“We know there are a lot of Solomon supporters here attending the University of the South Pacific. We want them to come out in numbers and support the team.”
