Marist Brothers High School have successfully defended the Fiji National Schools Swimming Championship boys title for the 10th year-in-a-row.

MBHS swimming head coach Meli Malani said yesterday that he was grateful for the record win.

“It feels awesome and it’s good to see that all the hardwork has been paid off,” Malani said.

“The boys were emotionally happy and satisfied with their performance today.

“It’s indeed a great achievement for the Marist team as we have won the boys division for the tenth year in a row.”

He said 30 boys were part of their squad and all took part in the championship.

“Our main aim for next year is to defend our title and hopefully continue setting new records” They also set seven new records during the championship.

Meanwhile, Nadi primary schools dominated the pools during the championship.

The boys and the girls category was a tussle between Mount St Mary’s Primary School and Nadi Airport School.
