Barring an injury, bustling Toulon winger Josua Tuisova is set to make his Test debut for the Vodafone Flying Fijians against Italy on June 17 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Flying Fijians head coach John McKee confirmed that Tuisova and Clermont’s Peceli Yato would only be considered for the Test matches against Italy and Scotland in Suva.

This is because Toulon are going to face Clermont in the French Top 14 grand final on Saturday and the players will miss out on the June 3 Test clash against the Wallabies in Melbourne, Australia.

But the following France-based players of Akapusi Qera, Leone Nakarawa, Albert Vulivuli, Levani Botia, Kini Murimurivalu, Jale Vatubua and Timoci Nagusa are expected to march into camp tomorrow.

“Josua Tuisova will not be playing for the side during the test match against Australia but he will definitely be joining the side after that,” McKee said.

“It is very important for us to get our combination right and our game plan as well so that we can utilise the remaining time we have for the test match. It’s mainly about team combination and how well the boys adapt to the game plan”

McKee said they are focused more on the team rather than what the opposition are doing.

“The training that we’re going to have will set our game plan before we travel to Melbourne for the test match.”

McKee also indicated that were some changes in the squad.

“Nemani Nadolo is out with an injury while Asaeli Tikoirotuma is suspended for four weeks so he won’t be available till the 26th of June. So I’ve brought in their replacement Benito Masilevu and John Stewart.” The national rugby side match into camp in Suva tomorrow and will leave for Melbourne on Sunday.
