The Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North Committee has spent $1.3 million for projects in the Northern Division.

This was confirmed by the committee president, Shubash Chandra, during the signing of another three-year contract with Vodafone Fiji Limited worth $300,000.

Mr Chandra said these projects included the Northern Dialysis Centre, the Fitness Gym, and the Children’s Park amongst others.

“We try to look at some of the facilities that we do not have and its presence would benefit the Northern community, then we try and include it in our list of projects,” Mr Chandra said.

The company’s chief executive officer, Pradeep Lal, said: “We are very proud to be associated with the Festival of the Friendly North, I have said it the last time and I will say this again.”

The signing was done at the Hotel Northpole in Labasa.
