Selling at Labasa market has benefitted Ana Salauca’s family.

Originally from Nasolo in Bua she said marketing had served her family well especially assisting her daughter’s education from primary school to tertiary level.

Her daughter now works at the Grand Eastern Hotel in Labasa.

She started as a market vendor by selling yaqona and dalo.

Mrs Salauca said while she was selling at the market, her husband worked on their family farm in Bua.

According to Mrs Salauca her husband helps and at all times sees that she always have enough on her tables to sell to the customers.

“Like any other mother, I am grateful that we were able to support our daughter financial and help her fulfil her dream.”

She said while her business at the market was good, she also had developed good relationship with other vendors and her customers.
