Road Victim Planned To Build A Property

A woman who has become the latest road fatality had made plans with her husband to build a property in Davuilevu.
Malti Devi of Reba Circle in Nadera was on her way to work yesterday when the incident occurred. It is alleged that Ms Devi was crossing the road when a vehicle which was overtaking another hit her.
The late Ms Devi’s huband, Kamlesh Chand, was at home with his daughter yesterday when the incident occurred.
But he said his plans with his wife will carry on for the sake of their only child
Despite missing his wife, the 48-year-old said: “Even though she has gone, I have plans for my daughter who is at home.”
Poonam Singh, their daughter, said earlier that morning she had helped her mother prepare breakfast and her mother told her what to do for dinner.
“My mum told me to cook potato curry for our dinner,” she said.
She said that she missed her mother. She loved her so much and was always there for her. Ms Singh said she hardly saw her mother get angry and always full of life.
The driver in the incident is currently being questioned by Police.
