Eight students of Tabia Sanatan Dharam Primary School took a bus ride to Subrail Park in Labasa just to get an autograph from Roy Krishna and Seremaia Tuwai yesterday.

Mohammed Nazil, a Year Eight student, was jumping up and down when he saw the two northern sports stars.

“I can’t believe that I got a chance to shake hands with the sports stars of whom I used to see on television,” Mohammed said.

“They look so real and friendly and willing to have a group photo with us.”

Robona Dakai also a Year Four student of the same school said thanks to Fiji Link for choosing to celebrate their 3rd birthday with them where he could meet Tuwai in person.

“He is short in height like me and like he has done great wonders, I will surely do the same and make my family and nation proud,” Robona said.

“My parents taught me to never judge a person by outward appearance and this is what Tuwai had proven that even though he is short in height he can equally perform as other tall rugby players.”

Amish Kohli, a Year Nine student of Labasa College approached Krishna requesting for some advice as he plays for his school’s under-15 team.

“You have to be careful in making friends and how you spend your time,” Mr Krishna advised Amish.

“If you choose to have a career in football then you have to train very hard.

“But I advise you not to leave education.

“You can always balance education and sporting career,” said Mr Krishna.

The 14-year-old thanked Krishna and assured him that he will walk in his shoes some day.

Meanwhile, Fiji Link general manager Athil Narayan said to make their third birthday celebration more special they decided to have the two Northern sports stars in Labasa.

“This is the second year in a row where we have brought the birthday celebration to Labasa,” Mr Narayan said.

“We were in full force meaning having our sales team, our pilot, cabin crew, public relations and airport staff.”

The programme ended with lot of fun activities.
