Meet the Couple Behind Fiji’s Dubbed First Music Festival

Meet Inoke and Ellana Kalounisiga, the couple behind the much-awaited Thurston Food and Music Festival set for July 15.
The couple own Knox Entertainment Limited named after Mr Kalounisiga’s stage name, Knox.
Knox Entertainment was set up to make good live music and performances more accessible to the wider public and in tune generate more appreciation for artistic values, the couple said.
“We want to create more income streams for the entertainment industry and those who choose this path in life,” Ms Kalounisiga said.
The event will be held at Thurston Garden, Suva.
12 artistare expected to bring Fijians to their feet with a range of performances.
“There is a lack of events of this scale which brings in talented people in one space,” she said.
Knox is no stranger to the local music scene as he has been giving his heart and soul to music. With Ms Kalounisiga’s background in administration,together they hope to put on a great show for Fijians.
Organisations such as Paradise Beverages, Onyx Entertainment, The Holiday Inn, The Pearl Resort, Redox, Goodman Fielder, and Fiji Sun have stepped up to support what has been dubbed the first music festival.
“We are extremely grateful to the Fiji Sun for firstly believing in us and the festival and its future,” she said.
She said Fiji Sun came onboard to support the cause by way of coverage.
A lot of work is going into the preparations and the goal for the festival is that every single person walks away saying ‘Wow, that was awesome’.
Tickets for the Thurston Food and Music Festival are now on sale at the ROC Café, Ginger Kitchen at the Fiji Museum, and Fiji Broadcasting Corporation for $20.
Fiji Sun will be featuring artists and businesses that will be involved at the festival leading up to the event next month.
