Litia Tikoisuva defended her singles title in the Geotech Drilling-sponsored South Pacific Bowling Carnival at the Suva Bowling Club yesterday.

It was a tight race to the finish but Tikoisuva managed to edge Elizabeth Moceiwai 21-20.

With the new bowlers as well as the overseas based players, Tikoisuva said winning is now a huge challenge as it all comes down to luck at times.

“It feels great to win and it depends on the day as well. But it was a really tough playing against Elizabeth,” Tikoisuva said.

“With the competition being so tough, it is all about luck and how good you are on the day.

“I struggled to win and it was not even about the finals, it was the build up to it that was really difficult.

“I really look forward to next year and cannot wait to see more people join and give us some good competition.”
